Some flats, even in luxury residences, unfortunately do not have a good layout plan. This flat of 53 square is a guiding example.
From the original layout of the flat we kept only placing of the toilet, bathroom and bedroom. We made the toilet smaller and rebuilt the bathroom so that the chamber became a part of it. The rest part of the flat was completely changed. We changed the bedroom with the living room and thanks to this change there was a nice space for kitchen and dining table. When it is such a small flat, we should think of unifying the floor which can better connect all the space. No threshold strips were matter of course. Because we wanted a wooden floor also in the bathroom, one of the possibilities (and also affordable price) was using of industrial mosaic and Burmese teak.
The whole concept of the flat is designed in white color in combination with oak and glass. There is a mix of modern interior with etna elements. The dominant is a large bookcase with movable panels which divides a wall for working and private parts. The owner loves orchid blossoms. Thanks to our own production of wallpapers, we applied those wallpapers on movable panels of the bookcase and also on the bedroom wall.
The dining table and also the desk in one, from solid oak wood, is placed into the bookcase and thanks to an oblique angle, it makes the corner of the room more dynamic. The solid oak was used also for a worktop in the kitchen. When there is a combination of white and oak, so the choice of chairs Vitra DAW is simply obligation. Overall, the whole living space beautifully connected with the kitchen and the table. The coffee table at the sofa is own production from the rest of floor boards. With upper glass board it follows the TV composition Besta from Ikea and the glass bathroom.
The bedroom is created in cosier shades, but there is still the combination of white color and oak wood. The picture above the table is the original. The owner brought it from Thailand, the same as some used decors in the flat…
This flat is a guiding example that for affordable prices is possible to create a comfortable and original space, which reflects a human personality and needs. In this case, it was a young woman.
